Polk County Virtual Academy

The Arkansas State Board of Education approved the Polk County Virtual Academy (PCVA) at their meeting on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Enrollment will be open to any K-12 aged student in the Mena School area for the fall semester of 2018 with an enrollment cap of 25 students.

Applications for PCVA will be available Monday, January 8, 2018 on our district Facebook, district website, and at Louise Durham, Holly Harshman, Mena Middle School and Mena High School offices, as well as the Central Office. All applications must be returned to the Central Office at 501 Hickory Avenue by Friday, February 16, 2018. Each application will be time and date stamped then numbered in the order they were received by Central Office personnel.

After the enrollment deadline, parents will be contacted to confirm their intent to enroll their student. If no contact has been made after 3 attempts, the coordinator will contact the next applicant in line. If more applications are received than the current year’s enrollment cap, students will be placed on a waiting list.
