Ladycat varsity golf and Bearcat JV golf travelled to compete against the varsity teams from Waldron, Paris, Lincoln, and Charleston on Tuesday. Our girls played extremely well finish in the top half of the competition. Of 14 girls, Chandler Dover was 3rd, missing the leader by 3 strokes and Kinsey Mullen was 5th. On the boys side, our JV boys played an impressive round against the varsity teams. Of the 5 teams, they took 3rd missing the leader by just 12 strokes. Of the 25 boys, Talen West took 3rd and Peyton Tidwell finished 3 strokes behind him. Boys that also competed for the Bearcats: Ethan Anderson, Wesley Warren, Max Zavala, Gabe Elizalde (scorer), and Wyeth Weber.Finishing third as a team against varsity competition demonstrates the depth and potential of the Mena boys golf.
