Mena Bearcat Coaches select #32, Chris Bollmeyer, as the Farm Bureau Insurance Player of the Game for week #12 vs. Arkadelphia. Chris is a Senior, Defensive Cornerback for the Bearcats and had 4 tackles and a pass breakup against the Badgers in Mena’s 2nd round playoff game. Unfortunately, the Bearcats’ season came to a close that night, losing to the Badgers by a score of 34-7. Chris is the son of Sharon and Shawn Bollmeyer and was born here in Mena. Chris says that he plans to work with his Father after graduation, in the family’s local residential construction business. Mena ended the season with an undisputed Conference Championship, the first since 1996. The Bearcat squad and coaching staff are to be congratulated upon being able to complete the season and to be so successful, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.
