Disney Day, Wednesday: Western Wear (No toy weapons or guns), Thursday:
Throwback to the 80's, and Friday: BLACK OUT.


Student Council will meet today in Ms. Gordon’s room.


9th graders, please turn in Upward Bound applications to Mrs. Thacker asap
Bearcat Football will play tonight at Bauxite starting at 7:00


Anyone in FCCLA who signed up to volunteer to face paint at the L.D. Fall
Festival next Tuesday, please come by either Mrs. Hobson's or Mrs. Wilson's
room to confirm. 


If you are signed up to take the PSAT next Wednesday, October 11th, please
stop by Mrs. Gross's office for a student guide.


Don't forget to turn in your permission slips and dollar to your senior English
teacher or Ms. Kropp if you want to go to Hamlet on the morning of Oct. 18th. 


Autumn Liles has been selected as our Daughters of the American Revolution
representative. The DAR (Daughter of the American Revolution) Good
Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest, created in 1934, is intended to
encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship.
This award recognizes and rewards individuals who possess the qualities of
dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and
communities. Congratulations Autumn.


Tickets for the Homecoming movie are for sale in the office they are $10 each.
Seniors who wish to attend college day at UARM on October 18, must sign up
with Mrs. Gross.  The sheet and instructions on how to register will be in her
office.


Throughout the month of October, the HUB is hosting a Food Drive for The
Humane Society of the Ouachitas. Any donation of dog or cat food, treats, or
even accessories such as toys or cat litter would be greatly appreciated.
Donations can be placed in the box in The HUB or just outside the office 

Seniors need to be checking Mrs. Gross's wix site.  She is starting to update
scholarships as they come into her office.  Double check the dates and only fill
out the updated forms!!  The site is listed outside the counselor’s center door
Students, you are not allowed to check out for lunch!  We have a closed
campus... have your parents/guardians bring food to you if you do not want to
eat in cafeteria.

Remember to get a BLUE SLIP when you are absent.  


You still have time to order your 2018 Yearbook for the lowest price of $48.
You can get your name and four icons added to the book for an additional six
dollars. Students and parents can either order the yearbook online with a
debit or credit card, or through Mr. Philpot's room with cash or check. See Mr. Philpot in room 205 for additional information.


We have Mena High School ID pockets for cell phones for sale in the office for
the new low price of $2.

Arkansas Governor's School applications are open until October 5th. 
Information is on the bulletin board outside the counseling center. Deadline to
apply is January 18, 2018
