The Mena Jr. High Cheer Team is fired up about the first pep rally for 6th-9th grades coming up on Thursday, October 21st at Jim Rackley Gymnasium ! GO BEARCATS !!!

Mena Jr. High Football played on Thursday at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium. The Bearcats defeated Dover by a score of 42-22 & improved their record to 5-2. The Junior Bearcats will host Ozark next Thursday. GO BEARCATS !!!!

Mena 7th Grade football played an exciting game against Dover on Thursday at Boib Carver Bearcat Stadium. The Bearcats won by a score of 16-14 & improve their record top 5-1. The 7th grade Bearcats will host Ozark next Thursday. GO BEARCATS !!!!

Ladycat Volleyball picked up win number 17 on Tuesday at the Union Bank Center. Mena defeated Camden Fairview 3-0 by a score of 25-13, 25-1 & 25-7. The Ladycats are now 7-0 in conference play & will travel to Magnolia on Thursday. Games begin at 4:30pm... GO LADYCATS !!!

Mena Cross Country competed in the UARM Buck Fever Showcase on Tuesday. Top finishers for Mena were Jr. Girls - EMMI HENSLEY Jr. Boys - COOPER PLUNKETT Sr. Girls - SAMARA JAYNES Sr. Boys - TRE MCMELLON

Mena Bearcat Coaches select #26, Jarrett Burger, as the Farm Bureau Insurance Player of the Week vs. Pottsville. Jarrett is a Senior this year and plays Fullback and Linebacker for the Bearcats. His 8 tackles plus a 15 yard rushing TD helped lead the Bearcats to a 28-23 victory over the Apaches on Senior Night, at Randall Whorton Field. Jarrett is the son of Jill and Chris Burger, and is a very avid bass fisherman and hunter. He and Mena QB, Austin Rose, compete as a team, in fishing tournaments all over the south, representing Mena High School. Jarrett hopes to go to college next year and be on a fishing team for a University. This Friday, Jarrett and the Mena Bearcats take the 2 hour bus ride to over, to take on the winless Pirates, who are now 0-5. Jarrett was not available for photo before press time, but will receive his week #6 game ball later this week. Farm Bureau Insurance is a proud supporter of Mena Bearcat athletics!

Monday, October 4th 7th Grade, Jr. & Sr. Volleyball play at Mansfield beginning at 4:30pm ! GO LADYCATS !

Mena started in a ten point hole on Friday night at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium but came back for a 28-23 win over Pottsville. With the win the Bearcats improved to 4-2 on the seasom & 2-0 in conference play. Mena will play at Dover next week. GO BEARCATS!!!

The Mena Bearcats play their final regular season home football game tonight. The Bearcats play Pottsville at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium with kickoff at 7:00pm. Tonight is also Senior Night. That ceremony will begin at 6:30pm. Students & Fans are encouraged to participate in a PINK OUT at the game. Wear pink for breast cancer awareness. GO BEARCATS!!!

Friday is Sr. Night at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium & it will be a pink out as well. Students & fans are encouraged to wear pink for breast cancer awareness !

MADI LYLE played in the Class 4A State Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Sage Meadows Golf Course in Jonesboro. She finished with a 101 on a tough course. Madi is a multisport athlete & always does a great job representing the Ladycats & Mena..

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th !!! Madi Lyle will be competing in the 4A State Golf Championship at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jnesboro. Mena Cross Country will compete at the Scrapper Invitational in Nashville. Races begin at 3:45pm. Jr. & Sr. Volleyball is on the road at Bauxite. Games begin at 4:00pm.

The Mena Bearcats scored on the first play of the game & never looked back enroute to a 47-14 homecoming win on Friday night. Mena improves to 3-2 / 1-0. Mena will host Pottsville on Friday 10/1 & it will be senior night at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium.

Students from MHS. MMS, HHE & LDE attended the Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium. The court was beautiful, the crowd was rowdy & everyone is sufficiently pumped for a big win over Waldron !!! GO BEARCATS!!!!

The Mena Ladycats claimed first place in conference play on Thursday with a 3-0 win over Ft. Lake. The score was 25-21, 25-18 & 25-21. Ft. Lake falls to 4-1 in conference play. Mena improves to 5-0 & remains undefeated on the season. The Ladycats will play on Saturday in the Lakeside Tournament.

Thursday, September 23rd Mena Golf will play in the boys 7-4A District Match at Degray today. Jr. & Sr. Volleyball will host Ft. Lake at the Union Bank Center beginning at 4:00pm. 7th Grade & Jr. Football will play at Waldron with kickoff at 5:30pm & 7:00pm.
