The Mena Bearcats hosted a team camp at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium on Tuesday. Teams from Horatio & Dierks participated.. Mena will host another team camp on Thursday 7/22 & the annual parent meeting & family night will be Thursday at 6pm. Thge Bearcats will play a scrimmage game at Mansfield on August 17th & the season opener is on August 27th when they host DeQueen. Congratulations to 2021 graduate SAM EFIRD ! Sam will be attending Ouachita Baptist University & on Monday he signed his letter of intent to play baseball for the Tigers. Efird was an all conference performer for the Bearcats in baseball, football & basketball.

Bearcat coaches were "Tipping The Tank" at the Mena Wal-Mart on Saturday. TTT is a fundraiser for the Arkansas Children's Hospital. Coaches Randy Peters, Isaac Minton, Tommy Johnson & Craig Bentley looked right at home & had obviously been practicing for weeks. GO BEARCATS!!!!

2021 Mena High School graduate SAM EFIRD has been offered a baseball scholarship at Ouachita Baptist University. Sam will be signing with OBU on Monday, July 19th at 12:30 in the Union Bank Center. Efird was a multi-sport athlete at MHS. and earned all conference honors in baseball, basketball & football.

Little Cats Cheer Camp MHS Saferoom July 30-31st Camp A: 6th - 9th grade (2021-2022) 9am-3pm Cost: $30 per Student Concessions will be available. No awards will be given this year as we hope for this camp to be fun and help build cheerleading skills because our focus is to encourage and develop a strong Mena Cheer program. A huge shout out to Mena High School Seniors AUSTIN ROSE & JARRETT BURGER. Austin & Jarrett finished 15th in the 2021 HS National Championship Team Tournament Standings. They were only able to land two keepers, weighing 2lbs 10oz, on Friday. Unfortunately that was not good enough to qualify for Saturday's World Finals. BASSCATS IN 2nd AT DAY ONE WEIGH IN ! Austin Rose & Jarret Burger weighed in a 3 fish limit today at the High School Fishing World Finals. The tournament is being held on Lake Hartwell in Andersonville, South Carolina. The duo weighed in 10 pounds 1 ounce for the day & trail the leaders by just 12 ounces.
