Friday was the last day of Arkansas children’s week. At Louise Durham Mrs. Taylor's class celebrated with a beach day with cotton candy and snow cones.

Preschools students at Louise Durham Elementary held a parade on Thursday to celebrate Arkansas Children’s Week!

It’s Arkansas Children’s Week in preschool. Mrs. Taylor's class kicked off the first day with silly hats, glow sticks and a dance party!!

Read Across America Week came to a close on Friday & Louise Durham Elementary celebrated their love of reading with dress up days, read alouds, book challenges & more. Students were challenged to read 3,000 books this week & they crushed it by completing 6,306 books. The leading classes in each grade were Ms. Warren's class in 2nd grade, Ms. Todd's class in 1st grade & Ms. Sirkis' class in Kindergarten. A student from each grade got to throw a pie in the face of Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Holder & Coach Rose. It was a fun week! We fell in love with new characters, started new series, laughed and grew as readers. We believe today a reader tomorrow a leader.
