From Coach Wright: Schedule Change !!!! With weather concerns this evening we are moving the Varsity girls game to 5:00 p.m. followed by the Varsity boys at 6:30. 2 games only. Hopefully this will get every one home an hour earlier. Please spread the word!

The Mena Jr. High basketball teams played at DeQueen Thursday. The JV Jr High Ladycats won 24 to 11 & the Jr High Ladycats won 34 to 14. The Jr. High Bearcats came back from a 34 to 15 halftime deficit to win 37-36 & the Jr. High Bearcat JV Also won 24-10. The Mena Jr. High is back in action Monday at Jim Rackley Gymnasium when the play Bauxite.

Any Jr./Sr. FFA Member interested in receiving State FFA Degree, needs to speak with Mr. Collins this week. There will be a Boys and Girls Track Meeting this Thursday during enrichment. Meet in Coach Dover’s Driver’s Ed Class if you are interested. Be sure to order your 2020 MHS Yearbook before it’s too late. The final deadline to order a yearbook will be January 31st. Yearbooks are $60, and can be ordered through Mr. Philpot’s room 205 or online through the Jostens yearbook website. The deadline to register for the February ACT test date is this Friday, January 10. All students will attend their regularly assigned enrichment class for the remainder of the semester!

The Mena Bearcats & Ladycats played at Centerpoint Tuesday. The Sr. Boys won their third game of the season 46-29. The Sr. Girls lost 35-50... The Sr. Teams will play DeQueen this Friday at the UBC!

The Mena Jr. High Basketball Teams hodted Nashville at JIm Rackley Gymnasium Monday night... The Jr. Ladycats won 42-33 & the Jr. Girls JV won 22-9. The Mena 7th grade girls lost by a score of 20-27. The Junior Boys JV lost 6-28 & the Jr. Bearcats lost by a score of 27-36. The Jr. Teams will be back in action on Thursday at DeQueen starting at 4:30pm.

The Lake Hamilton Kameron Hale Tournament concluded Saturday The Jr. Ladycats beat Lakeside 30-26. Centerpoint defeated the Sr. Bearcats 47-44 in overtime. ‬ Centerpoint defeated the Sr. Ladycats 49-35. The Mena Jr. High will host Nashville on Monday 1/6 at Jim Rackley Gymnasium. The Mena Sr. High will play at Centerpoint on Tuesday 1/7...

Play continued at the Kameron Hale Tournament at Lake Hamilton Friday. The Jr. Ladycats lost to Bryant 27-38. They will play again Saturday at 4:30pm. The Sr. Ladycats beat L.R. Hall 73-49. They will play Saturday at 1:30pm. The Jr. Bearcats lost to Arkadelphia 36-40. The Sr. Bearcats lost to Kirby 28-55. They will play Saturday at 11:30am.

The Mena Basketball Teams are playing in the Kameron Hale Tournament at Lake Hamilton today. The Jr. Ladycats beat Benton 35-27 & will play Bryant on Friday at 3pm... The Sr. Bearcats lost 24-54 to Conway & will play Friday at 11:30pm... The Jr. Bearcats lost 26-31 to Benton & will play Friday at 1:45pm... The Sr. Ladycats lost to Greers Ferry Westside 34-57 & they will play on Friday at 1:00pm.

The Mena Sr Basketball Teams played at Malvern Friday night. The Ladycats won by a score of 48-19 & the Bearcats lost by a score of 39-45. Mena will play in the Kameron Hale Tournament at Lake Hamilton January 2nd, 3rd & 4th... GO BEARCATS!
