The Mena Sr. Basketball Teams hosted Hot Springs Lakeside at the Union Bank Center Tuesday Night. The Ram's took all three contest... Mena lost the JV Girls game 13-15 in overtime. The Varsity Girls lost 48-54 & the Bearcats lost 27-51.

We will be doing this during their Senior English classes. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 12 & 13 is a free clothing swap. Students please bring any gently used clothes or shoes that you no longer need. Thursday, 12-12, FBLA and FCCLA will have their combined Christmas party in the cafeteria during Enrichment. Friday, Dec. 13, Sr. Basketball vs. Hope 6:00 Friday, Dec. 13, Sci-fi and Art Club Christmas party! Don’t forget to pay dues before you come! Friday, Dec. 13, Jersey Dance after the home basketball game in the middle school safe room. It will cost $5 to get in. STUDENTS: LEAVE YOUR BLANKETS AT HOME. WE HAVE PLENTY OF COATS IF YOU HAVE A NEED, JUST SEE MRS. THACKER. HOWEVER, DO NOT BRING BLANKETS TO SCHOOL. Students: If you need to know your lunch balance, please go see Mrs. Jennifer We have Gatorade, Water, Chips, Beef Jerky and Rice Krispy Treats that are available for purchase if you have money in your lunch account. Students you must get a juice and/or fruit at breakfast. FRESHMEN are not allowed to come to the library during Lunch for the remainder of the semester due to behavior. Students are not to be in the hallways during Lunch A or Lunch B. The library, cafeteria, or patio are available areas during lunch. Students taking classes with UA Rich Mountain who borrowed a book please return the book to Mrs. Thacker before you leave before the holiday break. FBLA members who plan to compete at the spring leadership conference need to see Mrs. Lindsey or Mrs. Torix for a permission slip. These and $20 are due Friday, December 13, if you intend to compete. All students will attend their regularly assigned enrichment class for the remainder of the semester! The Mena School District "Feed A Bearcat" Program aims to provide wrap around services to our students in need. These services are offered on an individual basis as needs are identified and include the backpack food program, personal hygiene items, clothing, school supplies, extra-curricular student expenses, and assistance with lunch account balances. The Mena School District appreciates the generosity of community individuals and organizations who donate items or monetary gifts to our students through this endeavor to meet our local needs. If anyone is interested in donating items or money to the “Feed A Bearcat” program, they can call the Administration Office at 479-394-1710 located at 501 Hickory Avenue.
