Mena High School Seniors Nathaniel Needham and Elijah Smith competed in the Madden eSports Championship at Fort Smith Northside on Thursday.
The Truman Wildcats edged out the Mena Bearcats 2 games to 0 in the finals. Elijah finishes #2 in the state in AAA Madden NFL25 Esports. Along with his medal comes a $1000.00 scholarship. Nathaniel finishes #3 and earned a $500 scholarship.


Cameron Bartow, Travis Benefield, and Wesley Smith were awarded the top prize for Region 2 in the Economics Arkansas Stock Market Game at the Clinton Presidential Library on Thursday. The students competed in the Stock Market Game by investing in various stocks and mutual funds in a simulation that mirrored the market over several weeks. The team ended the simulation with the highest ranking in the region.


Mena High School students received their 2024-2025 Yearbook on Thursday at the distribution assembly in the Union Bank Center.


The Mena Public Schools are pleased to be hosting the Area 14 Special Olympics at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium!

The 2025 Mena High School Prom King & Queen are Jair Hernandez and Isabel Vacca!

From Computers to the Trails — A Journey of Creativity
After conquering the NYX NoCode Hackathon, these Mena students took their victory to the great outdoors, joined by Sam and Lucas of Beeline MTB, Karen Kilroy of NyxNoCode, and Doug, Kenny, and Joe from the Matthew Mark Foundation. Beeline gifted the bikes to these students for more future fun on the trails! We also thank the Walmart Foundation for helping dreams ride even farther!


The Mena High School Relays were held at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium on Thursday. The Ladycats won the meet. The girls won the 4x400 Meter Relay. Elliot Dugan Won the High Jump. Brynlee Bahr won the Pole Vault & Mallori Brotherton won the Discus.

Mena FFA Members attended the 98th Arkansas FFA Convention this week. On Monday, we competed in the state Parliamentary Procedure Contest, attended student and teacher workshops, enjoyed the opening session and visited the Career and College Expo. Tuesday, members attended the 3rd general session and our delegates participated in a business session where Mike Collins was highlighted as one of several Legendary Owls. Also three former members were recognized for earning their American Degrees. Our chapter was awarded a National Chapter Award and the chapter was 1 of 8 schools awarded a Model of Excellence Chapter award. We listened to Sam Demma’s keynote address. Members also got to enjoy Waylon Wyatt and Wyatt Flores in Concert. Wednesday members and advisors learned the results of the State LDE contests and elected the New State Officers. The last session on Wednesday is where 6 of our members received their State Degrees.
