Our week 6 Matt Thomas - State Farm Agent Player of the week went to Freshman Rhett Brotherton. Rhett started pitching and won our road conference game at Malvern with 6 strikeouts.also came in relief and pitched good in our game vs Fountain Lake. Rhett also had 3 RBI’s in the Horatio game. A back and forth soccer game at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium ended in unique fashion & resulted in a win for the Bearcats. Bearcats-3 Robinson-0 Robinson was leading 6-5 late in the contest when apparent unsportsmanlike actions by Robinson ended play. The referees halted the game with 1:06 to go and awarded Mena a 3-0 win. Mena Ladycat Soccer faced Pulaski Robinson at Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium on Friday. Ladycats-0 Robinson-7 Mena is back in action on Monday when they face Dequeen. The Sr, Night Ceremony will begin at 4:30pm.

Lily Rowland was selected Matt Thonas State farm Insurance as Ladycat player of the week for last week. She hit the go ahead home run at Malvern and batted over .500 for the week. She also showed the mental toughness of a Ladycat by playing through a severely jammed finger.

Another great performance at the Mena Bands Spring Concert on Thursday at the MHS Performing Arts Center. The MHS Jazz Band, MMS Beginner Band, MMS Band & the MHS Band performed under the direction of Mr. Charles Morgan & Mr. Tyler Huntington

The Mena soccer games scheduled for Tuesday 4/26 have been moved to Monday 4/25 and the senior night ceremony will start at 4:30pm.

Last weeks Ladycat softball player of the week was Abi Kopein! She pitched very well in all three games. She pitched 10 innings all in relief with only 2 earned runs, 14 strikeouts and 1 walk. This kid puts a tremendous amount of work into her craft. The Ladycat softball team is rolling. Come out and support them Tuesday night in a huge conference game against Bauxite at home!

Sophomore Brody Brown was named our week 5 Matt Thomas - State Farm Agent player of the week. Brody was huge in our 8-7 win over Mount Ida. He was 3-3 reaching base all 4 at bats and scored the game winning run in the last inning. Also pitched well for 3.1 innings!
