The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) recently honored students for their exceptional performance on the SAT, ACT, or similar assessment. Mena High School freshman HUDSON VACCA has been honored as one of the brightest young students in the world by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. Vacca received a High Honors Award for exceptional performance in SAT, ACT or similar assessment taken as part of the CTY Talent Search. CTY uses above-grade-level testing to identify advanced students from around the world and provide a clear picture of their true academic abilities. More than 16,000 students from 66 countries tested with CTY in the 2019-20 Talent Search year. Less than half of CTY Talent Search testers qualify for CTY High Honors Awards. Austin Rose and Jarrett Burger placed 6th at the Arkansas Student Angler Federation State Championship held on Lake DeGray on Sunday 3/7/21. They will be back in action this coming weekend on Lake Degray and Lake Greeson. With the lead in the Arkansas Youth Fishing Federation points standings, Rose and Burger are hoping to finish strong and qualify for the High School National Championship.
