Be sure to order your copy of the 2021 Mena High School Yearbook for the current price and final price of $60 before January 29. You may order online at www.jostensyearbooks.com with credit or debit card, or order through Mr. Philpot’s room 205 with cash or check. January is the final chance to order your copy of the 2021 MHS Yearbook. Orders have been extended on Senior Shirts and Underclassmen Shirts for one more week only, and all shirts are $15 each. Shirts can be purchased with cash or check. If you would like to order a 2021 Senior Shirt, a Juniors shirt, a Sophomores shirts, or a Freshmen shirt, you may order through Mr. Philpot in Room 205. The final deadline to place your order is today, January 8. All shirts must be paid for in advance at the time of ordering. The FFA is now doing sign-ups for CDEs and LDEs for this year's spring contests. Blended & virtual student meals for January 11th - January 15th may be picked up today at Louise Durham Elementary or Mena High School between 1 and 2 pm.

The Mena Jr. Girls bounced back from a loss on Monday & defeat Arkadelphia on Thursday at the Union Bank Center. Jr. Girls Varsity/ Mena-52 Arkadelphia-22 JV Girls / Arkadelphia-27 Mena-11 The Jr. High is back in action on 1/14 when they host Malvern.

Mena Coaches select #10, Gracie Lyle, and #20, Sam Efird, as the Farm Bureau Insurance Players of the Month for December. Gracie is a Senior, Guard for the Lady Cats squad and is the daughter of Brad and Linda Lyle. In December, Gracie averaged 11 points, 6 rebounds, and took 3 charges per game. In one of those games , she made 6 three point shots! After graduation, Gracie plans to attend UA Rich Mountain. Sam is a 6’1”, Senior, Forward for the Bearcats and is the son of Anthony and Katie Efird. For December, Sam averaged 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals per contest. He has taken 4 charges so far this season also. After graduation, Sam plans to continue the family tradition, by attending Ouachita Baptist University, and possibly play baseball there. Farm Bureau Insurance is a proud supporter of Mena High School athletics!!

Just a reminder that the general public can pick up tickets to home basketball games at the Central Office on the day of the game from 8:00am to 3:45pm. You must wear a mask to the Central Office when picking up tickets.
