Mena High School Journalism 2 students are producing a video promo for the Special Olympics "Polar Plunge" Water Balloon Fight that will be taking place on the MHS front lawn on Saturday, March 20th. BOBBY WALLIS stepped up & volunteered to be the target of over 200 water balloons on Wednesday. They did three takes, and he walked away drenched, bruised, and with multiple welps on his body. Bobby's leadership in planning, communication, management and determination to make this a fun and memorable school year have been crucial to other events as well..

honored students for their exceptional performance on the SAT, ACT, or similar assessment.
Mena High School freshman HUDSON VACCA has been honored as one of the brightest young students in the world by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth.
Vacca received a High Honors Award for exceptional performance in SAT, ACT or similar assessment taken as part of the CTY Talent Search.
CTY uses above-grade-level testing to identify advanced students from around the world and provide a clear picture of their true academic abilities. More than 16,000 students from 66 countries tested with CTY in the 2019-20 Talent Search year. Less than half of CTY Talent Search testers qualify for CTY High Honors Awards.
