MHS Student Council would like to invite all MPS students and staff to our annual Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday, September 25th beginning at 9am in the Union Bank Center. The theme is RED OUT! We can't wait to see you there!

Ms. Hobson’s Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management class sharpened their culinary skills in the kitchen by practicing proper knife techniques and learning how to safely cut using the batonnet method.

Our Community Project Is Officially Underway!
Our students have taken the next step in our community project and submitted their inquiry to ARDOT regarding a stoplight for our community!
This project is all about student voice, community involvement, and making a difference right here at home. Our students saw a need, researched the issue, and are now taking action to advocate for improved safety in our community.
We are so proud of the work they are doing and can’t wait to see where this project takes us!

Mena volleyball competed a Spikefest in Cabot on Saturday. The Ladycats were 2-1 in pool play and lost the first game in the gold bracket.
Mrs. Sawyers class welcomed their second Mystery Reader visit today, and this time our firsties guessed correctly! 🎉 They were SO excited when Ellie’s mom walked through the door to read to us! 🥰

GT Team leader, Maddie, harvested tomatoes today from HHE garden.
The Mena Jr. Ladycats played their season opener on Tuesday at the Union Bank Center. Greenwood took the match 2 games to 0. The Jr. Ladycats will play this Thursday the 27th at Lake Hamilton.

Our Management 1 students just completed their first Monday business meeting yesterday, and we’re officially making this a weekly tradition!

Our first full week of school was a HUGE success! We started sharing our math strategies with each other and got to use some new math tools. We learned so much about reading and writing while practicing our procedures.
