Austin Johnston was the runner up medalist at the 7-4A District Match at Degray Wednesday. Austin is All-conference. & has qualified for the state golf match.

7th and JR JV volleyball games for Thursday have been cancelled. Arkadelphia is unable to bring them. There will be a 7th grade intersquad scrimmage starting at 3:45 and JR V will start at 4:30.

Mena Tennis blanked Booneville on Tuesday 12-0. Winning all the singles & doubles matches. Those in action included Stephanie Lua, Marissa Ortiz, Will Davis, Austin Rose, Eli Cook, Wilson Hughes, Luke Montgomery & Brendon Brown..

The Mena cross country team competed in the Tom Stuthard Stampede on Tuesday. The top finishers for Mena were:

The Mena Ladycats faced Lakeside at the UBC Monday night.. Mena won the Jr. High match 2-1... The Ladycats won the Sr. JV match 2-0 & Lakeside won the Senior Girls match 1-3... Mena will play at Bauxite Tuesday beginning at 4pm... GO LADYCATS!



The Mena Jr. volleyball team played in s tournament at Paris Saturday.. The girls finished 2nd in the Gold Bracket.. The team will be back in action on Monday whne the Sr. & Jr. 's host Lakeside at the Union Bank Center..
The Mena Bearcats won a hard fought game at Hot Springs Friday night by a score of 10-6... A good crowd for Mena's first road game of the season watched a great performance by the Bearcat defense... The team will have an open date this week & will open conference play against Ozark at Bearcat Stadium on Friday, September 27th.. GO BEARCATS!!

Homecoming Dinner!

The Mena tennis team played at Arkadelphia on Thursday. McKenzie Strother won her match 8-6 & the team of Marissa Ortiz/Stephanie Lua won in doubles play 8-2... On the boys side of the net Will Davis won 8-2 & Austin Rose won 8-1.. Eli Cook & Wilson Hughes won their doubles match 8-4... The tennis team will play next on Thursday, September 19th against Malvern & hope in matches that will be played in Malvern... GO BEARCATS!

The Bearcat Jr. High football team played at Russelville Thursday night. Mena lost 6-29.. The Jr. Bearcats will be back in action on Thursday, September 19th when they host Dardanelle.

Mena golf played at DeQueen Thursday & finished 2nd as a team behind Fairview.. Chloe Rocha & Austin Johnston were each 2nd in individual play... The District Match will Be played at Degray in Arkadelphia on Wednesday!

The Jr. Ladycat Volleyball Classic happens on Saturday September 21st at the Union Bank Center... Pool play starts at 9:00am.. GO LADYCATS!!!

Jr. Ladycats Win in Capital City! The Mena Jr. Girls volleyball team beat LR Central Tuesday 25-7 & 25-8... The Jr. JV lost 14-25 & 21-25.. The Jr. Ladycats play again on Saturday in a tournament at Paris.. Go Ladycats!

Congratulations to Zane Stephens #4! The Bearcat Coaches selected Zane as Farm Bureau Insurance Player of the Week (Week 2). He stepped in as Quarterback after an injury to Max Montgomery. His hard work alongside his team helped lead the Bearcats to a 36-35 victory over Prescott. Zane had 6 receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown. He also had 10 carries for 117 yards and two more touchdowns. He ultimately scored the game winning touchdown according to Coach Bentley.
Zane and his family moved to Mena from Joplin, MO when Zane was in the first grade. He is the son of BJ and Rachel Stephens. He plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville next year and pursue a Business Management degree. His free time is spend with his friends or out with a fishing pole.
Head Coach Craig Bentley and Agent Mitch Sikes presented Marc with the Farm Bureau Insurance Game Ball.
This Friday night the Bearcats will hit the road and face the Hot Springs Trojans in what will be an exciting game. Get out there and support these boys on the road as well as at home!
