The watermelon was donated by Jamie Coplin, parent of Journey and Nathaniel Coplin.

Mrs. Ford’s and Mrs. White’s third grade classes at Holly Harshman Elementary had a great time exploring the school garden on their noun scavenger hunt. Learning is so much more fun, when you can be outdoors!

It was a a foggy start to the first day of school in Mena but all seemed excited to start the 2021/2022 school year !!!!

The residents & staff at The Cottages were out bright and early on Monday greeting students at Holly Harshman Elementary on the first day of school. They also made a large donation of water & other supplies which Superintendent Dr. Lee Smith was happy to accept. Thank you so much for your support. Our students love their neighbors at The Cottages.

Teachers from across the Mena School District are meeting in the Mena High School Performing Arts Center today. They are there to hear Michelle Finn speak on "The New Art and Science of Teaching." Finn is the coauthor of "A Handbook for Personalized, Competency-Based Education" & recently received notoriety as a cast member on the tv show "Alone" on the History Channel.
