Ty Thacker and Lily Rowland, 7th grade MMS students, had a blast learning science at Arkansas Ecology camp. 5th and 6th grade students can apply. Hands on activities.
MMS teachers Lynn Ashley & Jessica Smith learned a lot at the Innovation Institute professional development in Springdale. Lots of new ideas for the upcoming school year!

Mena Public Schools schedule for 2019/2020!
Mena School District Superintendent, Benny Weston, and a team of Mena administrators attended the annual Leadership Institute hosted by DMESC. Sessions included Exploring Our Leadership Intention, Section 504, Through the Eyes of Poverty, Suicide Prevention and Intervention, Tier 1 Training, and Legislative Updates-AAEA. Preparations continue for the 2019-2020 school year.

Summer improvement projects are well underway. New storage is being added to the Mena Middle School cafeteria & a new walk in freezer will be built in the former storage area...
The Mena Jr. High Football Team was put thru their paces at Bearcat Stadium on Tuesday in preparation for a team camp at Mansfield on Thursday! GO BEARCATS!
Cleaning, painting, stripping & moving projects happen each summer... As you can see the staff is already hard at work & making it happen on all Mena campuses...
Mena Junior and Senior Boys Basketball is on their way to the Harding Team Camp. A lot of basketball will be played this weekend, but more importantly this camp is when they become a TEAM. Go Bearcats!
