Mena Middle School Takes Flight!
Today, our Project Lead the Way and FBLA students are exploring innovation and history at the Arkansas Air & Military Museum in Fayetteville!
Students are getting a hands-on look at aviation technology, engineering, and the stories behind America’s military aircraft. This field trip connects classroom learning to real-world applications in STEM, leadership, and career readiness.
We’re so proud of our Bearcats for representing Mena Middle School with curiosity, respect, and enthusiasm!

MMS Attendance Reward Day. 93% or better attendance for 1st quarter earned students PRIDE with Popsicles. This quarter goal is 95%!
There was a great turnout Wednesday morning at Mena Middle School for See You at the Pole.
Mena Middle School 7th and 8th-grade Art students worked collaboratively to create Van Gogh-inspired sunflowers. This display is located in the MMS cafeteria.
The Jr. Ladycats had a strong day on the court at the Ladycat Classic! They finished first in their pool after a three-way tie was decided by points in the head-to-head tiebreaker.
In the Gold Bracket, the girls came out strong with a 2-0 win over Mansfield. They then battled with Lake Hamilton but fell short, 0-2.

We Recommend Wednesday: meet our 1st period library aide, Darcie. Darcie loves to read romance and murder mystery. Her favorite authors are Kasie West and April Henry. She recommends Maybe This Time by Kasie West although she says it is hard to pick a favorite. Love Luck and the List is another great book by the same author. If you like sweet romantic stories, try this book!
Today FORTY theatre students in middle school and high school got to see The Three Musketeers at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville. It was such a great adventure with lots of comedy and sword fighting. Thanks especially to Dora Venable for driving the bus, Anna Williams for helping to chaperone, and all the amazing help at TheatreSquared. They help us in so many ways. This time they also arranged a talkback with the actors from the show. It was wonderful!

The MMS Yearbook Staff had an incredible experience at the Jostens Yearbook Workshop hosted at Greenwood High School! During the event, they collaborated with a professional artist to design this year’s cover and explored new strategies for creating a one-of-a-kind yearbook. We are also proud to share that last year’s staff was honored with the Gold Level Award in the National Yearbook Program of Excellence—recognition of their outstanding creativity and dedication!
