The Middle School Choir spring concert date is Tuesday, April 23. The concert theme is Rockin' the Groove: Music from the 60's and 70's. The audience will be entertained with great hits by the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Queen, and many other artists from the time period.

MMS Announcements for Wednesday, April 10th Teachers, today I am doing these announcements from a different phone. Please email me and let me know if you still have the same intercom issues with these announcements. If you were absent yesterday, there are extra order forms for Spring pictures in the office. Remember, you are not required to have your picture taken, it is voluntary. Reminder: If you are interested in the co-ed volleyball tournament, visit the Bearcat Foundation web page for the sign up form. From Mr. Goodnight: Any current 7th or 8th grade student that is interested in showing livestock for FFA can go by his room in the next couple of days to sign up. From FBC: Today’s church van may not arrive today until 3:45. From Mrs. Rose: BADD members please plan to wear your shirts on Friday. You will be participating with Mayor Smith's signing of the Alcohol Awareness Month Proclamation. You will also meet during Achieve for a campus clean up. We have had several recent issues with students listening to loud music – sometimes inappropriate music – on the bus. If you want to listen to music on the bus, you must wear earbuds. If you are written up for this, it could be a double violation (bus violation / phone violation). Several students have been roaming the hallways before school. Once you arrive at school you are only allowed to go to the cafeteria or outside. You can go to the library to read or study, with permission from Mrs. Brooks. Some of you have noticed that we are in that time of the year where wasps and bees are starting to become active. Be on the lookout for them and leave them alone. The Mena Middle School Band received a First Division Superior Rating for both their concert and sight-reading performances at the Region 8 Concert and Sight-Reading Assessment yesterday, making them a 2019 Sweepstakes Band. The students presented themselves in a professional manner and represented the school and the community of Mena well. Thank you for your support and for influencing and encouraging students each day.
