Mena Middle School student Bryant Thomas placed 1st in the division IV-8th grade Mena Elks Americanism Essay Contest. He was awarded a certificate and a $50 Wal-Mart gift card. His essay will advance to the state competition. Sammy Fagan and Brayden Wilson were presented with a certificate of participation for their outstanding essays.
