EAST Program received several grants last semester. EAST students will take a group photo next Friday, January 17, during Achieve at 10:50 am.
Any Jr./Sr. FFA Member interested in receiving State FFA Degree, needs to speak with Mr. Collins this week.
There will be a Boys and Girls Track Meeting this Thursday during enrichment. Meet in Coach Dover’s Driver’s Ed Class if you are interested.
Be sure to order your 2020 MHS Yearbook before it’s too late. The final deadline to order a yearbook will be January 31st. Yearbooks are $60, and can be ordered through Mr. Philpot’s room 205 or online through the Jostens yearbook website.
The deadline to register for the February ACT test date is this Friday, January 10.
All students will attend their regularly assigned enrichment class for the remainder of the semester!
The Mena Bearcats & Ladycats played at Centerpoint Tuesday. The Sr. Boys won their third game of the season 46-29. The Sr. Girls lost 35-50... The Sr. Teams will play DeQueen this Friday at the UBC!

Reminders:
1st semester Family CSI students need to pick up your pillowcases.
All items in the lost and found box will be bagged up tomorrow afternoon.
Report cards will go out Thursday during ACHIEVE.
All FBLA members need to go to Mrs. Sikes’ room right after today’s announcements.
We have registration forms in the office for spring soccer from the Mena Soccer Association.
From Mrs. Swall: All students who have signed up for the NYC / DC trip will meet in her room during ACHIEVE this Friday.
From Mrs. Moore: There will be no 7th grade GT meeting tomorrow but the 8th grade GT will still meet on Thursday.
From Mrs. Luttmer: There will be an informational meeting about MMS Robotics club on Friday during Achieve.
From Mrs. Lunsford: Try to order your yearbook by January 31st. The price will increase after that. Also, EAST students will take a group photo on Thursday during ACHIEVE for EAST Conference. All EAST students need to be in the photo. Make arrangements with your ACHIEVE Teacher to leave class.

We have Gatorade, Water, Chips, Beef Jerky and Rice Krispy Treats that are available for purchase if you have money in your lunch account.
Students you must get a juice and/or fruit at breakfast.
Students are not to be in the hallways during Lunch A or Lunch B. The library, cafeteria, or patio are available areas during lunch.
Students taking classes with UA Rich Mountain who borrowed a book please return the book to Mrs. Thacker before you leave before the holiday break.

The Mena Jr. High Basketball Teams hodted Nashville at JIm Rackley Gymnasium Monday night... The Jr. Ladycats won 42-33 & the Jr. Girls JV won 22-9. The Mena 7th grade girls lost by a score of 20-27. The Junior Boys JV lost 6-28 & the Jr. Bearcats lost by a score of 27-36. The Jr. Teams will be back in action on Thursday at DeQueen starting at 4:30pm.

Bearcat Cheerleaders will be competing in the AAA State Cheer Competition Saturday. They will perform at 8:26, 9:40, and 11:34 for a chance at finals. Finals will be held from 1:45-2:10 and awards will be at 3:15. Competition will be held at the Hot Spring Convention Center.
