Congratulations to Mena High School Senior CRISTIAN MILLER on signing to serve with the US Coast Guard on Wednesday in the Mena High School Library.


MHS FBLA would like to give a HUGE shout out to the first sponsors of our trip to Nationals in Orlando this summer. We are taking 13 MHS FBLA members to compete in various competitions and every donation, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated!!! Your donation can go to a specific student or divided amongst the whole group.

Mena Middle School FCCLA, FBLA, and Yearbook students attended the annual Magic Springs School Day. This is the end of the year celebration for these groups.


The class of 2024 had graduation practice on Friday morning.
Since we missed the weather, and we are going to have wonderful weather Saturday, we are changing locations for the Mena High School commencement ceremony to Bob Carver Bearcat Stadium.

At the Arkansas Heptathlon Elliott Dugan of Mena finished 26th as a sophomore and 3rd overall in the state for high jump. In the decathlon Elijah Smith of Mena finished 18th out of 75 as a junior!
Coach Rachel Dover and Randy Peters were selected as team leaders at the meet and coached girls from Cabot, Villonia, Dover, Siloam Springs, Lakeside, and Russleville!


Wednesday was the final day of the Little Cat Volleyball Camp!

Mena Middle School 6th grade students enjoyed a day of information and fun. Polk County Sheriff Scott Sawyer and Deputy Justin Wagner talked with students about careers in law enforcement, dangers of vaping and much more. Students also watched an education video on vaping in the library. To wrap up the day the National Guard provided their obstacle course for students.


2024 Seniors had a graduate walk through on each Mena campus on Wednesday.

Congratulations to Mrs. Kristine Albin and the Mena High School Yearbook staff for earning the GOLD level of the National Yearbook Program of Excellence.


Louise Durham Elementary would like to thank Upward Bound for donating a bicycle to be awarded during the End of Year Awards Ceremony. Their generosity towards our students is truly appreciated!


The Mena High School Pathway Club spent this past Saturday working towards beautifying our community by picking up roadway trash all around neighborhoods close to the high school. The Pathway Club was awarded a state grant that was written by our Behavioral Interventionist, Shanda Craig, and focuses on community service projects that beautify our community. These 9th grade students will work throughout their high school career on different ways to beautify our community. Students are also creating a video to highlight all the work and planning they have completed this school year. Club members are Waylon Yoakem, Adelhei Look, Avery Montgomery, Zoe Adams, Jonas Hernandez, Daeton Miller, and Braydon Wright.


Bentleigh Vincent earned 100 AR points and received $10 in Bearcat Bucks…Awesome job


The final night of the Little Ladycat Basketball Camp was Thursday in the Union Bank Center. There was a huge turnout of 1st-7th graders. GO LADYCATS!

MMS 6th graders Paul and Tristan delivered a thank you note (created by Ms. Leann Johnson) signed by all 6th grade students to MRHS! Thanks again MRHS for hosting us for the 2024 Careers of Mena Field trip!


The 2024 MHS Yearbook Assembly was held on Thursday morning in the Union Bank Center. This years yearbook was dedicated to the memory of Nature Brown and also to MHS Teacher Heather Catlett.
