M*A*S*H students experienced several emergent scenarios today during camp. Survival Flight (Emergency Medical Air Transportation Services) landed at MRHS for a mock transport of a patient (MASH student). The flight nurse and paramedic shared life saving techniques for rapid medical services to preserve a patient's safety until they can be transported to the medical care they require. Following Survival Flight's departure, Southwest EMS volunteered to provide a mock arrival of a stroke victim. Sara Hale, MRHS Director of Quality Services, willingly served as a patient presenting with stroke symptoms. ER Director Tony Tackett demonstrated the AR Saves Stroke telemedicine program that links emergency room doctors to stroke specialists via live, two-way video. Proper steps must be taken before administering TPA, a clot-buster that dissolves blood clots obstructing blood flow to the brain.

THANK YOU. You have welcomed my family into the school and community. You have supported every effort to build the football program up and help these kids succeed to the best of their ability! I am so thankful for the opportunity to work at such a great place. Thankful for the players(past and present) all the coaches, school board, administration , parents and community! For as long as I've been coaching, I've wanted to be able to have the chance to lead the Bearcat football program. I bleed Bearcat red and black and always will. My family and I are so beyond excited to get back home. Mena is a special place, with special people! We are so lucky to be able to jump right back in to the community and get to work by continuing to build a program that players, coaches, the school and the community can be proud of! To me this is not just another job, it is "THE JOB"! Thank you to the administration and school board for giving us this opportunity! 2019 Mena High School Seniors Brock Strother and Cristian Lua will be playing in the 2019 High School All-Star Football game this Saturday evening, June 22. The game will be played in Conway at Estes Stadium, on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas at 6:00 p.m.
