The Mena Public Schools are celebrating "Random Act of Kindness Week." On Friday Mr. Phillip Hatley spoke to students at Holly Harshman Elementary about making a conscious effort to choose kindness as a lifestyle. Thanks Mr. Hatley for capping off a great week at HHE !

The Mena School District has provided the opportunity to our Response To Intervention (RTI) specialists to attend the Summit on RTI at Work in Austin, Texas. The leading experts in the field will be equipping our specialist with the resources needed to help develop and implement the strategies to ensure ALL students learn at high levels and positively impact student achievement.

LDE, HHE & MMS are collecting pop tops in support of Ronald McDonald House. The drive continues through May. The program raises funds , through recycling, that helps pay for families to stay at the Ronald McDonald House while their child is receiving treatment at the hospital.

MENA SCHOOLS CLOSED ON THURSDAY ! Due to the dangerous weather conditions that appear to be certain, the Mena Public Schools will take an AMI day on Thursday, February 3rd.. A decision about whether or not to have school Friday will be made on Thursday.

The Mena Public Schools are aware of the wintry precipitation that is in the forecast and are preparing for potential AMI days. If possible we will try to make a decision by Wednesday so that families have time to prepare. Holly Harshman Dental Sealant Clinic forms are going out on Thursday. If you would like your student participate in the clinic they need to fill out and return both the FERRPA and Registration Form to Nurse Lisa by January 28. Once we have a number participating they will schedule our date.
