The Jr. Bearcats played Dover Thursday night. The Dover 7th grade team beat Mena 18-8. The Jr. High contest ended in a 6-6 tie when play ended due to approaching storms & lightning.

Tonight: The MMS 6th grade Choir will present their fall concert, A World of Music, 7:00 pm in the high school auditorium.
Tomorrow: The annual Fields of Faith will take place at Bearcat Stadium beginning at 5:30 pm.
Thursday: The Jr High Bearcat football team will be hosting Dover at Bearcat Stadium and the Lady Cats Jr JV and Senior High volleyball teams will be hosting Bauxite at the Union Bank Center at the High School.
This Friday, the EAST students will be conducting a fund raiser for our local pet shelters. There will be a Doggie Fashion Show on the front lawn of our school at 5:00 pm. If you would like to enter your dog in this event, the cost is $10. Prizes will be awarded. For more information, you can pick up a flier from the front office.

Arkansas Rural Education Association is spotlighting the Mena School District! With an enrollment of 1737 students, Mena is in the DeQueen-Mena Coop area in Polk County and employs 229 people. Mena is proud to announce that Mr. Benny Weston, Superintendent of Mena School District, was recently presented with the 2020 Arkansas Superintendent of the Year Award.
