
Students in Ms. Hooker's class at Mena High School discovered a new & creative way to learn today. They competed as teams in an escape room set up in the MHS Library.


Mrs. Johnson's Achieve class raised $354.88 for Special Olympics Pennies for the Plunge fundraiser. This was the highest amount raised at Mena Middle School.

Mena High School Announcements Thursday 3/18
9th and 10th grade, The ACT Aspire test is April 5&6. It is very important that your equipment is in working order. If your screen is broken or leaking, it will need to be replaced. Please check your keyboard and your mouse function and see that they are in proper working order or not missing any keys. You will need to charge your chromebook the night before you test. Please do not bring your chromebook to school and expect to be able to sit near an outlet so that you can charge your chromebook while you are taking the Aspire tests.
The Spring Gala will be held at CMA Iron Mountain on Saturday, April 24th beginning at 6pm. Tickets will be available for purchase from Ms.Hughes beginning next Tuesday, March 16th. Senior tickets will be $15 and Junior tickets will be $30.
For any students who are still interested in purchasing a Senior shirt or an Underclassmen shirt, please see Mr. Philpot in room 205. There are limited sizes available that can be purchased for $15 with cash or check.
Parent Teacher conferences are Wednesday, March 17 from 3:30-8:30.
If you want or need to take the accuplacer test, it will be tomorrow at 3:30 in Mrs. Purvis room. It is free and untimed.

Penny Plunge Challenge is ON!!! Enrichment Class -- remember to bring your coins and donations for Special Olympics Polar Plunge each day and turn in to your Enrichment teacher. II. Reminder – We will be on the standard bell schedule when we return from Spring Break.
III. While you are on Spring Break, keep in mind that our Go-Guardian will still be operating
and sending alerts for any inappropriate use of Chromebooks, to our Tech Department.
You should have no need to use your Chromebooks over Spring Break.
IV. There have been a couple of days this week where several balls and cafeteria trays have
been left outside at the end of Lunch “B.” If this continues to be a problem, students in
Lunch “B” will be prohibited from eating outside for several days along with the ball box
remaining locked.

Mena High School will be hosting a Spring Gala for all Juniors and Seniors on April 24th at CMA Iron Mountain from 6-8:30pm. The night, which will reflect "A Walk Down Memory Lane" will include a formal dinner and entertainment. Senior tickets are $15 and junior tickets are $30 and can be purchased from Ms.Hughes

The MHS Yearbook staff is excited to report that the design and overall creation of the 2021 Mena High School Yearbook has wrapped up, and the final pages were uploaded this morning to reach their end goal. While there's no doubt this school year will always be remembered as historic, the yearbook staff worked tirelessly to ensure the book reflected what a unique and memorable year it has been.
You may still order a copy of the 216-page 2021 MHS Yearbook for $60 by ordering online at jostensyearbook.com with a debit or credit card, or by ordering through Mr. Philpot's room 205 at the high school with cash or check. The yearbooks will arrive and be distributed in mid-May.
