In this challenging and pandemic year, I believe we have seen just how important the arts are in our world. Music is a big part of how we survive in difficulty, celebrate in good times, bond with others, and create memories. Music can be our escape or how we connect with our own emotions. I am thankful that theatre incorporates music in so many ways. Students need to see how music defines a scene, a character, a feeling, or changes the atmosphere in a production. -JESSICA KROPP-

Mena High School Journalism 2 students are producing a video promo for the Special Olympics "Polar Plunge" Water Balloon Fight that will be taking place on the MHS front lawn on Saturday, March 20th. BOBBY WALLIS stepped up & volunteered to be the target of over 200 water balloons on Wednesday. They did three takes, and he walked away drenched, bruised, and with multiple welps on his body.
