MHS ANNOUNCEMENTS
Announcements for Thursday, October 29 th   I. Tomorrow is our first “Flex Friday.” All students that come to school tomorrow will need to report to the cafeteria at the first bell, rather than your regular 1 st period class. If you are staying home, you will need to log on tomorrow morning and look for emails and complete a questionnaire from Mr. Sherrer. II. There has been a problem, especially among 6 th grade students, of several students sending or forwarding a lot of emails to other students. Some students have received over 100 junk emails, forwarded emails, etc. Your email is for school topics only. If it is determined that you are doing this, your account will be suspended. III. Daylight Savings Time ends this weekend. Be sure and set your clocks back 1 hour Saturday night. IV. Reminders:  You may donate diapers or other baby items in Mrs. Frost’s classroom.  7 th grade Cheerleaders will have their photo taken today during 7 th period. V. The following is Red Ribbon Week information from Mrs. Rose: Good Morning! Red Ribbon Week Coloring Contest entries need to be turned in to Mrs. Rose by the end of today.  Today we have a poem:  The best part of me is drug free, I do not let drugs control my life, and drugs do not decide who I am, why? Because I am strong and free, drugs do not belong to me, I choose my fate, you can too, it’s not too late, to make it right, you are not alone in this fight, you got your friends, your family, and one life to live, so do yourself a favor and don’t do drugs, and when you see a loved one, give them a hug, let them know your love, life is worth more than drugs.  Today's Facts- Smoking causes bad-smelling clothes and hair. The smell of stale smoke tends to last.  Smoking weakens the bones, weaker bones are easier to break.  Yesterday's prize winning statistic The tobacco industry spent $114 million last year on marketing in Arkansas. Congratulations to the winner Lucas Johnson! Consolation prizes go to Audriana Dominguez, Sam Irons and Jokiah Look. See Mrs. Rose today to claim your prize.  For those of you who will be here tomorrow the Red Ribbon Week Dress up Theme is I'm too Bright for Drugs. Wear Bright/Neon Colors.  If you participate in the Weekly Food For Kids program in Mrs. Rose's office on Friday afternoons and will be learning from home tomorrow for Flex Friday please plan to pick up your food bag today. VI. Lunchtime Weather: The decision will be made right before lunch as to whether or not we will be going outside or staying inside. VII. Lunch Menu: * Baked Chicken * Chicken Tenders * Cheeseburger * Taco Bar * PB&J Sandwich * Turkey or Ham Sandwich * Popcorn Chicken Salad
