School day pictures with Lifetouch will be on Monday, September 28, for grades 9, 10, and 11, as well as faculty. This will be the only school picture day Lifetouch plans to offer to Mena High School this year, so we need everyone to be at school that day to get their photo taken for the yearbook. School pictures at MMS are Tuesday 9/29. Picture forms will be given out today during ACHIEVE. You are not required to order or purchase pictures, however, everyone will have their photo taken for the yearbook and to have a photo on file for ID cards. Picture day at HHE is Thursday, October 22nd. Picture day at LDE is Wednesday, October 21st.

If parents know their students are going to be out for an extended amount of time please come and pick up their chrome book so they can continue their school work & won’t get behind in classes.

Announcements for Tuesday, September 22 nd   I. If you have to take a test for Covid, you are not allowed to come back to school until you receive the test results. You must bring your negative test results to the office on the day you return. II. Any 6 th , 7 th , or 8 th grader that has been on a Quiz Bowl team and still wishes to compete, will need to go to the Cafeteria immediately after these announcements to meet with Mrs. Sims. Remember to social distance when you find a seat. III. Tutoring is now available in the MMS Cafeteria. Make sure your parents know what time tutoring ends and that they pick you up on time. Mena Volleyball will play Booneville today at the Union Bank Center. Games begin at 4:00pm. GO LADYCATS!

The Mena Sr. Girls flew past a 9 win Paris team 3-0 Monday at the Union Bank Center. The Sr. JV also won 2-0. The teams will host Booneville tomorrow 9/22 with games beginning at 4:30pm.. GO LADYCATS!

70+ Mena High School Seniors are having their pictures taken by Prestige today.

1. MHS flu shot clinic will be held the morning of Oct 15th in the Bearcat Room. If MHS blended/virtual students would like to get flu shots at school, please pick up a paper form or e-mail the school nurse at bobbi.baker@menaschools.org. The forms must be returned by Oct 2nd. Flu shot forms out to all traditional students and staff this week and next. 2. MHS blended/virtual students may request a hearing and vision screening by making an appointment with the school nurse, M-F 8am-3pm.

Senior pictures retakes and make-up picture day will be Monday, September 21. If you did not get your senior pictures taken on the original date in July, we will need you to get your pictures taken for yearbook purposes, even if you don’t plan to purchase any of the photos.
