The Mena teams played their final home game of season at the Union Bank Center Friday night... The Ladycats won their game by a score of 41-37 & the Bearcats lost 27-40. Mena will play at Nashville on Tuesday 2/11.



The 7-4A District Tournament will be played next week in Nashville. The Mena Ladycats & Bearcats received a first round bye & both will open play on Wednesday 2/12. Check the brackets below... GO BEARCATS!!!!

The yearbook staff has extended sales of the 2020 MHS Yearbook for a limited time. You can still order a non-personalized 2020 yearbook for $60, but the final day to order will be next Thursday, February 13. See Mr. Philpot in room 205 to order with cash or check.

Gameday Friday!


The Mena Jr. High played at Bauxite Thursday night. The 7th grade girls won by a score of 15-13... The JV Jr. Ladycats won 26-7 & The Varsity Jr. Ladycats lost 22-25. The Jr. Bearcat JV won 30-17 and they boys varsity won 54-44. The district tournament will be played next week & we will post the bracket when it becomes available.


Mrs. Vega's Class at LDE bundled up and enjoyed the snow!


The Mena High School Theatre Department performed Macdaddy (funny short Macbeth) for 10th grade English classes today.



Sr. Night is this Friday 2/7 at the Union Bank Center!
The Seniors will be recognized at 5:30 before the girls game. After the senior night ceremony we will warm up, and play the Varsity girls then Varsity boys. Should start about 6:00 p.m

Announcements for Tuesday, February 4th
I. Parent / Teacher Conferences will take place tomorrow evening, 3:30 – 6:30 pm in the

II. The next MMS dance will take place one week from today, February 11 th , in the MMS
Cafeteria.
III. A four-day weekend is just around the corner – there will be no school on Friday, February
14 (Valentine’s Day) and Monday, February 17 th (Presidents Day).
IV. Please check the lost-and-found box for your missing items. Once again, it is overflowing
with coats, hoodies, shoes, lunch boxes, etc.
V. From Mrs. Breedlove: This Friday is the deadline to sign up for Cheerleader tryouts. Also,
The Valentines Crush Fundraiser is coming up. The Cheerleaders will be selling Crushes
during both lunches starting this Thursday. $1 for a Crush and $1 to add candy to it. They
will be delivered the following Thursday, February 13th at the end of the day.
