One week from today is the deadline to order a yearbook and to register for Mena Youth League baseball & Softball.
Students, if you have a class in the gym, you need to stay in the gym until the bell rings and do not roam around in the Cafeteria or halls.
Once again, there were several footballs, basketballs, etc left outside yesterday after both lunches. The ball box will be locked during both lunches for a few days.

The Benefit Game at Mount Ida will NOT be played Monday 2-24 due to weather and field conditions. The current plan is to play the game on Tuesday 2-25. Hopefully we will get good enough weather to get the game in.

The James K. Polk Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution named Mena High School senior FAITH CHANEY their 2020 Good Citizen during a meeting at the Polk County Library Thursday night.. Regent Cortez Copher also announced that Chaney had claimed first place in Arkansas & will be honored at the DAR State Conference on Saturday, March 21st.

The James K. Polk Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution awarded Mena Middle School's Tommy Johnson a certificate naming him their Outstanding American History Teacher during a meeting at the Polk County Library Thursday night..

The Mena Ladycats have advanced to the 7-4A District Tournament Championship Game with a 48-46 win over Nashville Thursday.. The girls will play the winner of the DeQueen/Bauxite game in the finals on Saturday at 6pm in Malvern,, GO LADYCATS!


Congratulations Mrs. Kathy Smallwood who won the Vyve Teacher of the Month! This is voted online by parents and students.


There will be a spring football parent meeting at 6:00pm on Tuesday, February 25, at the Mena High School Performing Arts Center. This meeting is for all guardians of incoming 7th grade through high school athletes. The summer schedule will be handed out and discussed.

The Mena Ladycats will be playing in the second round of the district tournament in Malvern this evening.
Career Center Machine Tool program at the college will not meet today, Thursday, February 20th
Bearcat Senior Marc Wilson will be signing his letter of intent this morning at 11:00 to play college football at Henderson State University. The signing ceremony will be held in the Union Bank Center.
HUB Program Applications are available in Mrs. Buckley's office. If you are interested in the HUB program for 2020-2021, you are welcome to pick up an application in the office.

To all Seniors: please complete the Who’s Who Ballot that is in the Class of 2020 Google Classroom this week. We had less than 50% of the Senior Class complete the ballot the first time, so the yearbook staff has a revised Who’s Who Ballot that all Seniors need to complete by the end of the day Friday. The results will be part of the 2020 MHS Yearbook.
Also, Seniors, please complete the Mr. and Ms. Bearcat ballot on Google Classroom by Monday. These results will also be part of the 2020 MHS Yearbook.
JAG Work Applications (upcoming juniors and seniors) are available for next year's JAG Work class.
