The Jr. & Sr. Ladycats played Lake Hamilton on Thursday at the Union Bank Center. Jr. Ladycats-0 Lake Hamilton-2 Sr. Ladycats-3 Lake Hamilton-2 The Sr. Ladycats will play Alma on Tuesday, September 2nd IN THE U.B.C. & the Jr. Ladycats will play at Waldron on Thursday, September 4th.

Students from the Mena High School yearbook program attended the jostens workshop at Greenwood High School. They learned technical and design skills, participated in team building activities and worked with a cover artist specialist for the 2026 yearbook.

The MMS Yearbook Staff had an incredible experience at the Jostens Yearbook Workshop hosted at Greenwood High School! During the event, they collaborated with a professional artist to design this year’s cover and explored new strategies for creating a one-of-a-kind yearbook. We are also proud to share that last year’s staff was honored with the Gold Level Award in the National Yearbook Program of Excellence—recognition of their outstanding creativity and dedication!

Mena Volleyball played at Booneville on Monday. The 7th grade split their games. The Mena Jr. JV won 25-22, 25-12, 16-14. The Jr. Varsity won 25-14, 25-14 and the Sr. Ladycats also won 25-17, 19-25, 25-14, 25-18. The Sr. Ladycats play their home opener on Tuesday against Clarksville. We accomplished a lot in first grade this week: fair art, free reading, sharing math strategies, bus safety, and lots of fun! It was a great first full week! ❤️☝🏼🎉

Mena Ladycat Volleyball played a benefit game at Van Buren on Thursday. The JV Ladycats lost 19 to 25 and 13 to 25. The Varsity Ladycats came up short in all three sets, 21 to 25, 21 to 25, and 19 to 25. The Ladycats had a good season opener that showed strengths in several areas. They are ready to get back on the court to improve on the areas of weakness. Ladycats will be back in action on Monday at Booneville.

The Mena High School Journalism Department would like to extend a sincere thank you to TFS productions and everyone involved in the making of our new broadcast trailer. This will not only provide a more mobile system but also give students real world experience with streaming live events.
