The Mena Ladycats had a great day at Spikefest in Cabot on Saturday. Spent the morning during Pool Play giving some sophomores valuable learning opportunities by playing. We had a few players out taking the ACT, and we were proud of how they stepped up Pool Play: Ladycats-0 Vilonia-2 Mena-0 CAC-2 Mena-2 Newport-0 During Bracket play we got a huge win over PA. We had a very good defensive game, which our offense fed off of. Then competed hard against an outstanding Valley View team. Mena-2 Pulaski Academy-0 Mena-0 Valley View-2.

We Recommend Wednesday: meet our 1st period library aide, Darcie. Darcie loves to read romance and murder mystery. Her favorite authors are Kasie West and April Henry. She recommends Maybe This Time by Kasie West although she says it is hard to pick a favorite. Love Luck and the List is another great book by the same author. If you like sweet romantic stories, try this book!

Today FORTY theatre students in middle school and high school got to see The Three Musketeers at TheatreSquared in Fayetteville. It was such a great adventure with lots of comedy and sword fighting. Thanks especially to Dora Venable for driving the bus, Anna Williams for helping to chaperone, and all the amazing help at TheatreSquared. They help us in so many ways. This time they also arranged a talkback with the actors from the show. It was wonderful!
