Virtual, blended, or non-enrolled students have to sign up for meals every week. Meals may be picked up at Louise Durham Elementary or Mena High School on Fridays between 1 and 2pm. Announcements for Tuesday, September 29 th
I. School pictures are happening now. We started with 6 th grade and will follow with 7 th , then
8 th . You will be told when it’s time for you to go. Remember, you do not have to purchase
pictures but everyone needs to have their photo taken for the yearbook and to have a
current photo on file. Do not take your backpacks with you. If you are ordering pictures
today, be sure to take your order form with you.
II. From Mrs. Sims: Starting next week, the 6 th grade Quiz Bowl team will have practice every
Monday and 7 th & 8 th grade Quiz Bowl teams will practice every Tuesday. Practices will
take place during ACHIEVE, in the Conference Room next to Mrs. Rose’s office. On those
days, report to your ACHIEVE teacher first. Once announcements have been read, you will
be dismissed for practice.
III. Reminders:
Flu shot forms are due this Thursday.
Immunizations are due this Thursday, or you must have an appointment made by this
Thursday.

LDE & HHE teachers took advantage of a visit by staff from the DeQueen Mena Educational Service Cooperative to boost their technology game today. Improving skills is a continuous goal for Mena teachers.
