We have Gatorade, Water, Chips, Beef Jerky and Rice Krispy Treats that are available for purchase if you have money in your lunch account.
Students you must get a juice and/or fruit at breakfast.
Students, please remember, you have to have money in your account to buy extras. Do not get extras unless you pay for it first.
Lunch A students: If you are acting inappropriately in the library during lunch, you’ll be asked to return to the cafeteria. If overall behavior does not improve, the library will be closed for Lunch A indefinitely.
Students are not to be in the hallways during Lunch A or Lunch B. The library, cafeteria, or patio are available areas during lunch.

The high school showing of The Yellow Boat will be Thursday, November 21st at 9:15 am. Bring $5 to your 2nd period teacher on that day. Make sure you are finished with your second chance breakfast before you go. There is no food, drinks, gum or candy in the PAC. Those who don’t want to attend will go to the library.
AE is hosting a food drive for God’s Feeding Hands Ministry through November 15. If your Enrichment class elects to participate, please bring a canned good to your Enrichment class. The class that donates the most, will receive a pizza party provided by AE.
Mrs. Jackson's class is in the lead for the most food brought for the Food Drive! She has a total of 44 cans! Keep up the great work!

Mena competed in the Arkansas State Cross Country Championship in Hot Springs Saturday. Junior Logan Myers led the team with a 14th place finish with a time of 18:04.30. Click on the link for the full results.. GO BEARCATS!

The Mena Bearcats Lose a tough game at Dardanelle Friday night 10-14. Mena will be on the road in the playoffs next Friday.. Follow the link to find out who the opponent will be.

Reminders:
Parent / Teacher Mid-Term Conferences are next Wednesday.
The Veterans’ Thank You Card will be available for you to sign in the cafeteria for the next couple of days.
Picture Re-Takes will take place on Wednesday, November 20th. These pictures are voluntary. Forms will be available in your ACHIEVE class on Monday.
The following groups will be meeting right after today’s announcements:
FBLA in Mrs. Sikes’ room.
BADD Club in the gym for a group photo.
Mrs. Smith needs to see anyone helping with the Veterans’ Day Luncheon.
If the weather permits, we will all be going out to the bus loop on Monday to show our support as the Veterans’ Parade goes by.
Lunchtime Weather: The current temperature is ____, so we will be going outside at lunch today. Several of you are still coming to school in shorts and / or no coat or jacket. As we’ve told you before, we will still go outside at lunch, even on cold days unless we determine that it is just too cold. If you need a coat or jacket, there are plenty in the lost & found box.

On Friday 11/22 in the Counseling Center during Enrichment (10:30 a.m.) Jostens will be here to order Senior Rings. (Parents are welcome to come).

Sr. Meeting on 11-18 in the PAC during Enrichment (10:30 a.m.). Herff Jones will be here handing out packets with Cap & Gowns and other Senior related clothing and accessories.
On 12-11 we will be measuring and ordering Cap & Gowns during the student's English class

Mena Mayor Seth Smith was a guest in Julie Gordon's Civics class at Mena High School Thursday morning. He talked about his background, the call of civic responsibility & the complexities of public office. Thank you Mayor Smith!!!

Mena Bearcat Cross Country will be competing in the 4A State Meet this Saturday 11/9/19 at Oaklawn in Hot Springs. Logan Myers, Tre McMellon, Trevin Plunkett & possibly others will be running. The 4A Boys race will begin at 9:00am.. Follow the link for more info... GO BEARCATS!!!

The Mena Jr. High football team played Pottsville Tuesday night in a game postponed by weather earlier this year. Pottsville won the game 24-6 & the Jr. Bearcats finish the season with a 2-6-1 record..
